Design: pETDuet-1 plasmid with the cloned hypothetical proteins Af1318 (NP_070147.1) and Af1317 (NP_070146.1) from Archaeoglobus fulgidus DSM 4304 (NC_000917.1). Af1318 with bound RNA was purified as indicated in Golovinas et al., 2021 (doi: 10.1038/s41598-021-83889-4) using a HiTrap chelating HP column without following RNase treatment. Af1318 bound RNA was purified using phenol isolation. RNA sequencing was performed as described in Heidrich et al., 2017 (doi: 10.1093/nar/gkx168) without TEX step.
